Kapuso star Glaiza De Castro and her spouse, David Rainey, unlocked a new achievement together as they conquered the Spartan Race 2022 in Camp John Hay, Baguio City.

In an Instagram post, the False Positive actress shared the details of their amazing experience during the said race.

“Truth be told, we haven't been training lately that's why when we got invited by @merell_ph to participate again for @spartanraceph, I wasn't too confident but thought, it would be nice to join and let @david_rainey89 see Baguio for the first time,” she wrote.

According to the actress, she and her Irish husband engaged in a 10k trail run. She went on, “Honestly, it felt more like a trek to me as there were so many uphills. I gave my all on the first and after reaching the top, I suddenly felt faint (this happens to me when I haven't been working out).”

The 34-year-old star shared that she was surprised to see more uphills and began to sing Miley Cyrus's hit track “The Climb” in her head for added motivation.

She continued, “I saw some runners also struggling but enjoying and taking their time. So, I did the same. It's amazing how nature can give us comfort in times of hardship if you can just stop for a while and breathe it all in. I almost felt emotional when we got to the finish line.”

Glaiza then expressed her gratitude to David, saying, “Thank you David for motivating and guiding me and keeping up with my pace.”

Before ending her post, the Kapuso talent added that she's looking forward to their next Spartan adventure. Indeed, the couple is undeniably fitness and relationship goals!

On October 12, 2021, Glaiza and David tied the knot in a Celtic wedding ceremony in Northern Ireland, United Kingdom.
